What is Liga A1 Semi-Pro?

Liga A1 Semi-Pro is the second tier of the Malaysian football pyramid, sitting below Liga Super (Malaysia Super League). Each club is required to field a minimum of 10 professional players, with the remainder optionally drawn from amateur ranks. The league replaces the discontinued Liga Premier and serves as the primary platform for Malaysia's emerging young talent ahead of senior squads. Astro Arena is the official broadcast partner, airing one live match every Monday at 8.45 PM throughout the season.
